Snow-white recently recruited to ALBA enquired of the dwarfs Who is going to vote SNP 1 and 2. Me, said dopey. There’s always one sighed Snow White.

I have been writing to my blog for over 10 years covering a wide range of subjects providing objective and factually correct commentary mainly but not restricted to Scottish politics, from a nationalist supporter viewpoint. In that time daily readership rarely exceeded 150-250. but on four occasions my blog recorded 1500 hits on a single day.

My blog is not promoted on any of the mainstream Scottish Nationalist sites; eg Wings, which reduces exposure potential.

The articles I publish are thoroughly researched and are not written with sensationalist headline grabbing intent. So, my question is to my loyal contributors. where am I going wrong.

Example: The Alex Salmond affair remains active even after his untimely death. I believe justice will prevail. It has to!! I wrote extensively about events as they unfolded and was instrumental in revealing without a doubt, that Alex was indeed the target figure of the new procedures which would take any new serious investigation back to October 2017. They all knew!! But only one passing comment from readers. ad 125 reads!!!

There are many other instances I could dig out but brevity is of the essence. I will say there are other bombshell revelations to be published about the Alex Salmond debacle but these remain in the pipeline until I recover from the despondency I am experiencing in recent days.

What can I do to get readership numbers up? I despair!!!! Jock!!!

    1. Thanks I’ll give some thought to reducing the content perhaps posting more links. I do try to lighten the load by breaking up the written content with pics but this might not be to everyone’s taste. I was a regular FB user and posted many articles there but I was subject to pigs abuse from users who were against independence and was closed down repeatedly for no apparent reason other than the content of news page. So I gave up

      1. Aye CJ, your widely researched articles give much needed context as to why Scotland is still in thrall to our colonising neighbour country. It is not difficult to see that by joining the dots linked to your articles Scotland faces dark forces thoroughly opposed to any break up of the existing world order of which our neighbour still believes itself a major player.

Professor Alfred Baird puts it succinctly when he suggests too many Scots have become inured to our colonised state by assuming and/or aspiring to a colonised state of mind and therefore are generally in denial of our condition.

I can perhaps understand the need for brevity as requested however yours is one of the very few blogs where dogmatism has absented its presence in favour of of considered and structured commentary in which context is everything and long may that continue.

  1. Hello Jock. You are not the problem the amout of work and effort you put into your blogs is amazing. The problem is with the Scottish people. A great many of what I refer to as el thickos don’t like long reads, it’s too much for them They prefer the Daily Pravda . The so called National. It spouts out the snp propaganda on a daily basis. Then now and again it gives the treacherous Sturgeon a wee nip. Pretending it’s not bias. The people I know whom I would have thought had more sense still buy it. Tell me it only cost whatever for the online version. In my opinion it’s the same with Prisim

I used to watch it years ago till it became very clear how corrupt the snp was. They still insisted it could be saved. Went on for months saying the same b thing. I gave it up years ago. My friend who knows everything about what’s going on in the Scottish political scene still faithfully watches it. Back to you

  2. Hello Jock I’m having trouble liking and commenting. WordPress won’t allow. Happening with other bloggers I follow too. Please don’t be despondent. You do a great job and are very much appreciated. Keep it up and going. Don’t know if you’ll get this email. Best wishes Jacqueline McMillan πŸ’™πŸ€πŸ’™

  3. Please keep this going, I appreciated the effort you put in. Agree with some other comments that a more concise approach with links to fill out detail if required. I’m surprised at the low numbers you are achieving given the quality of your work. Like you I have given up with Facebook, have you tried BlueSky?

    1. I thank you for the constructive comments. Unlike the mainstream loggers who derive an income from their efforts I contribute my time and effort freely. I have never heard of Bluesky but I will check it out, Thanks

  4. Hi, I posted a comment but got “sorry this comment could not be posted”, so here it is,and thank you for all your hard work and dedication,Yours AyeAnne (aka anniethenoo)

As a rare blog to meticulously stick tothe facts and provide the minimum necessary detail CJ is a unique andhighly valuable record. Your readers Will be disseminating theinformation here but not necessarily referencing you. Reducing thecontent and replacing with links would be to its detriment, riskingreader distraction. FB robs your time and wrecks real discourse.Likewise a lot of other ‘dog whistle’ content which generates reamsof non-reason hiding any pearls to be found therein….. It takestime and dedication to read it all as well as to produce it, and thatwill be the main reason views are low, but in no way does that meanyou are ‘going wrong’: you are absolutely not!

PS Sometimes wordpress does ‘disappear’comments. Therefore I always compose them as word document first incase that happens.
