Scottish Independence is not an impossible dream -there is a way to realise it

Military conquest and enforced colonisation of Scotland by England

English colonial rule was imposed on Scotland over 300 years ago achieved through military occupation and an embargo on Scottish trade with any other nation. The bastards starved our country into submission.

Support of many campaigns for Scotland’s relief from colonisation has never been supported by Nations whose economies are tied to the American dollar and any Scot harbouring thoughts of freedom from the corrupt Westminster system of government (which is) is destined to spend a lifetime living with hopes forlorn.

Scottish independence will never be gained through support of any political party purporting to be campaigning for it since their control systems, aims and ambitions are financed and controlled through rules imposed by Westminster.

Liberation Scotland is a notable exception since it entirely independent of any external political interference but it falls short in its ambitions because it includes an approach at some future date to the UN seeking Scotland’s recognition as an independent country. Something that may out with the control of that body.

But there is a way forward out of the colonisation which is strangling the life out of our population. Our time has come and no power in the world can stop Scots from regaining their freedom.

The Global market – North and South

The UK and Northern Ireland is a leading country functioning within the Global North but only virtue of its combination of the economies of England, Wales Scotland and Northern Ireland.

Any diminution of Westminster control would lead to the transfer of constituent countries, (except England) to the Global South, comprising around 200 nations, many ex colonies of England).

Liberation Scotland should submit its application for membership of the Global South and Non-aligned Movement. Now!

Supporting the Policy change

Quote: It is notable that other forums and institutions of the Global South are gaining weight. The BRICS forum – comprising Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa – was set up in 2009 as a counterpoint to the G7 club of nations, to criticism from some quarters that it was little more than ‘marketing’.

Yet, it is now clear that the BRICS is growing in clout. In 1980, the G7 accounted for about 50 per cent of the world’s GDP in purchasing power parity terms, while the BRICS countries – excluding Russia, then part of the Soviet Union – accounted for about 11 per cent.

Today, the G7 accounts for 30 per cent of the world’s GDP, while the BRICS countries account match it at around 30 per cent. Equally importantly, the membership of BRICS is growing dramatically, while the G7’s is stagnant.

Why is the Global South optimistic? Take the 3.5 billion population of China, India, and the Asean countries, for example. In 2000, only 150 million of these people enjoyed middle-class living standards. Today, the number has exploded to around 1.5 billion, double the total population of western countries. And it is predicted to grow to 3 billion by 2030. At this rate, the coming decades may belong to the Global South.

  1. Can Scotland, which is only recgnized as a constitutent part of the UK, actually apply to be a member of BRICS, like Argentina, Ethiopia, Algeria , Iran etc which are all independent countries???

    1. India is a former English colony and the group has many other countries whose links to England were forged from conquest. They would readily support Scotland’s demands for recognition as an independent country.

“South–South cooperation” (SSC) was created to “challenge the political and economic dominance of the North” and is prominent among the Global South’s countries.

It has become popular in light of the geographical migration of manufacturing and production activity from the Global North to the Global South and influences the diplomatic policies of the Global South’s more powerful countries, such as India.

These contemporary economic trends have “enhanced the historical potential of economic growth and industrialization in the Global South” an include renewed efforts by the SSC to:

“loosen strictures imposed by the colonial powers transcending the boundaries of political and economic geography” as an aspect of decolonization.

      1. I fully support 2 separate things: Scottish Independence and the formation/growth of BRICS.

However Scotland’s decision to apply for BRICS membership, like its decision to apply to re-join the EU or NATO or the UN as an Independent State can, in my honest opinion, only be undertaken ( by means of Referendums) after Independence has been achieved.

The tasks at hand are to wrest Independence from the grasping hands of Westminster, bed it in with a Constitution and freely elected parliaments and then turn our attention to international groups/blocs that Scots want and decide to be part of.

      2. Hmmm! We must commence our journey to independence through an invitation to first gain “observer ” status with the Global South group comprising around 200 countries, many former English colonies whilst negotiating with
those who exert significant influence within the group and sympathise and support Scotland’s cause. Moving on from there the Scottish electorate would be able to conduct a referendum officiated by the UN

  2. Many of the BRICS nations, as you said, are former colonies. They freed themselves through suffering and hardship, long endeavours. Their freedom was hard won. Scotland voted NO to her freedom. No further comment about likelihood of Scotland getting an invite as “observer”!!!

But should an invite ever materialise who would you send as the Scottish observer to witness the BRICS nations’ work as they engage in very serious, difficult topics using their top-level people. Swinney?Yousaf? Maybe even Blackford?

  3. Liberation Scotland is officially constituted through its membership and functions through a democratically elected Committee. It has legal status and is able to seek the approval of other nations of recognition of Scotland’s legal status as a nation independent of England. Having confirmed the foregoing it is for the UN to approve an independence referendum supervised by a team of their observers .

The 2014 referendum was advisory in nature and England was not formally committed to honour the outcome should Scots have decided to leave the illegal “Treaty of Union” forced upon Scots by a nation 10 times its size

  4. During the 2014 independence referendum campaign David Cameron deployed a team of senior civil servants to solicit influential politicians of nearly every country in the world to actively and openly support England’s bid to retain its stranglehold over Scotland. Then denied it.

Independence seeking Scots should remember the tactic and return the favour through the politicians of Global South countries

  5. How strange this topic has never featured on the agenda at SNP conferences? On reflection there is nothing at all ‘strange’ about it!

I believe Sarah Salyers would be the obvious choice as a invited observer. Currently there are NO Scottish politicians from any political party worthy of consideration given their lack of acknowledgement to the extensive research carried out by Salvo/Liberation in the furtherance of Scotland’s Independence.
