GROK reports that the North Ayrshire PFI scandal revealed significant governance failures, with a flawed bidding process, inadequate police investigations, and limited accountability. Leslie Evans’ alleged stonewalling and Nicola Sturgeon’s inaction reflect systemic resistance to addressing PFI’s failures, leaving taxpayers to bear the cost until 2038. Report attached.

The documentary ‘The only Game in Town’ and the follow up which gives a glimpse of how the establishment at every level exists to deceive should be essential viewing for all who still believe that corruption does not play its part in local government bankrolled by a naive electorate!
people in high places must have been instrumental in the planning and implementation of the project and the the shut down of any criticism by Leslie Evans confirms her career unwarranted advancement. She failed at everything in her youth but ended up with a qualification in some obscure musical genre. By her own admission she was a good time girl who threw away any chance of a career in business or local government. The change came when she met her husband From that time she appeared to focus more ad managed to get herself a job in local government and the start of a long career in the civil service. But even in that she did not excel so howdid she get to the dizzying heights of Permanent Secretary where her shortfalls were finally revealed to late to save the Scottish taxpayer. I wonder if she might take the money and return to her homeland which is not Scotland. Did her husband have influence? Someone did!!!
